1. Make in Nashik

Nashik Industries & Manufacturers’ Association (NIMA) & CREDAI jointly organised MAKE IN NASHIK with the support of State Government during 30th & 31st May, 2017 at Nehru Centre, Worli, Mumbai.

The inauguration function was held on 30th May in the august presence of Hon’ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra Shri Devendraji Fadnavis & Hon’ble Union Minister for Heavy Industries & Public Enterprise Shri Anant Gite, Hon’ble Minister Medical Education, Water Resources and Command Area Development Shri Girishji Mahajan, Hon’ble Minister of State for Rural Development Shri Dada Bhuse.

Hon’ble Union Minister Shri Geete affirmed the organisers that his ministry will help in setting up whichever industry that falls under Heavy Industries Ministry at Nashik. He also informed the gathering that the Ministry of Heavy Industries have charge of 283 public sector enterprises of various Ministries and 21 heavy industries run by Government of India. We will discuss which enterprises and industries to bring to Nashik at Delhi. He also directed the organisers to visit the Ministry of Heavy Industries at Delhi and hold discussions about which industry set up Nashikites want. Hon’ble Union Minister for Railways Shri Suresh Prabhu could not attend the event due to sickness, he deputed the Chief General Manager of Central Railways Shri D. C. Sharma for the event. Shri Sharma informed about how position of Nashik on Railway map is important in various development schemes of Railways. Hon’ble MP Shri Hemant Godse, who was actively involved in the organisation of MAKE IN NASHIK event also expressed his views and was keen to affirm the organisers about set up of Government undertaking Industry at Nashik. MLC Shri Sudhir Tambe, MLA Shri Rahul Aher and MLA Smt. Devyani Pharande also expressed their views.
NIMA President Shri Harishankar Banerjee gave the opening remarks of the event. He also made a presentation about Nashik and the benefits of setting up any Industry at Nashik.

Hon’ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra Shri Devendraji Fadnavis in his Inaugural Speech assured the organisers that all necessary utilities and facilities will be provided to Agriculture processing Industry and other Industries in Nashik and will develop MAKE IN NASHIK brand along with Make in Maharashtra. He also said that Nashik has a large number of agriculture processing industries. There is also a huge scope for tourism business in Nashik City and district. As Mumbai & Pune has been over crowded with the industries and there is very less space to allot for the new investments. Nashik is the next suitable destination for the New Investments to set up their units.

Hon’ble Chief Minister also stated that efforts will be made to bring large industrial projects in Nashik. Industrial development in Nashik will surely get momentum due to Nagpur – Mumbai Samruddhi Expressway. He also assured to provide land to MIDC for the Industrial Development in Nashik. Hon’ble Industry Minister Shri Subhash Desai visited to the exhibition and shown keen interest in promoting Nashik as an Industrial hub for the new projects establishments.

During the event many of Industries, service providers, educational institutes and Government departments displayed their stalls at Nehru Centre, Mumbai. Large scale industries like Epcos TDK, HAL, Rishabh Instruments Pvt. Ltd., Samsonite, Bedmutha Industries, Crompton Greaves Ltd., Jindal Saw Ltd., Ashoka Buildcon Ltd., Signature Foods, Nahar Frozen, Go Green, Nobel Hygiene, Bhagawati Steel, Soni Paithani, Apras Polymers, Samsun Industries, Mahindra & Mahindra, Nashik Engineering Cluster, M. B. Sugar, Royal Inks, Beze Anantha Wellness retreat, KK Wagh Engineering College, Symbiosis Institute of Operation Management etc. Were the participants of the Exhibition. Government Institutions like MTDC, MIDC, DIC and Nashik Municipal Corporation also showcased in the exhibition. CREDAI, Nashik displayed a pavilion showcasing the strength of real estate sector in Nashik.

MAKE IN NASHIK has got a huge support from ABB ltd., Bosch, Right Tight Fastners pvt. Ltd., Glaxo Smithcline, MSL Driveline, Nashik Industrial Co-operative Estate, Sandip Foundation etc.
We have also organised parallel panel discussions and Seminars during the event at Nehru Centre. The topics were Seeing is Believing, Role of the corporate in the Development of the Region and Napa Valley to Silicon Valley – A city in transformation. Well known personalities like Shri Mahesh Zagade, Divisional Commissioner, Nashik, Mr. Neeraj Agrawal, Sula Winery, Mr. Hasit Kazi, Vice President, TCS, Mr. Ashutosh Rathod, Jt. Managing Director, MTDC were the faculties for the sessions.

Make in Nashik event is successful in every sense as it gathered around 2000 cr investment proposals during the 2 days event. The most attractive investment of the pack is of Sri Sri Ravishankar’s Sri Veda Satwa at Nashik.

2. NIMA organized a Customer Awareness Programme with PSUs on 30th and 31st Oct 2017

“Under the initiative of Ease of Doing Business the Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises reduced its interference by giving autonomy to PSUs. The Vendorship Meet jointly organized by NIMA and PSUs is commendable event and will help to employment generation and growth in GDP by promoting the healthy competition, competitive rates and excellent quality” said Hon’ble Union Minister for Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises Shri. Anantji Geete while speaking at the inauguration ceremony of Vendorship Development Meet jointly organized by NIMA and PSUs on 30th & 31st Oct 2017 at Hotel Gateway, Nashik. He further said that Joint Venture of PSUs and SMEs will definitely boost the industrial development in the region. He also praised the Video Clip presented by NIMA at the beginning of the programme.

NIMA President Mr. Mangesh Patankar welcomed the dignitaries and said that this is first programme of as such in India and said “this programme will empower the industries of Nashik and will offer the opportunities to grow and expand. Air service is starting from 15th Dec 2017 due to the untiring efforts of Hon’ble MP Shri Hemantji Godse. Mr. Patankar thanked Hon’be MP on behalf of Nashikites for that. He also requested Hon’ble MP to resolve the pending issues of Permanent exhibition center and CPRI lab at earliest.

“Every City develops through the united efforts of all entities. Hon’ble Union Minister had assured at the inauguration ceremony of Make in Nashik about the industrial development of Nashik and now this has been fulfilled in the form of PSU Meet. Good infrastructure and other favourable elements are available in Nashik for the growth of Large, Medium and Small Industries. Business venture of PSUs and SMEs will definitely speed up the industrial growth of Nashik” said Mr. Mangesh Patankar.

The PSUs include Bharat Earth Movers Ltd, Bharat Electronics Ltd, Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd, Bharat Dynamics Ltd, Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd, Goa Shipyard Ltd, Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd and Mishra Dhatu Nigam Ltd. Representatives of Seven PSUs under the Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public enterprises guided local industries about the process of becoming vendors. Local industries were informed about how they should get themselves registered and other formalities.

31st Oct 2017 – B2B and Concluding Session

B2B was organized on second day of the event i.e. on 31st Oct 2017. Information was exchanged between PSUs and SMEs and concluding session was over after the discussion on the new opportunities about and business.
This PSU Meet will definitely boost the not only industrial but overall growth of Nashik and will help to generate the employment in Nashik.

Mr. Raviprakash from Goa Shipyard praised the initiative taken NIMA and said “the event is really well planned and the review should be taken from time to time to overcome the shortcomings coming in this long term journey. It is a need of time to explore the new opportunities in other sectors rather than to limiting yourself for the particular sector. He thanked Hon’ble MP Shri Hemantji Godse for his co-operation.

Hon’ble Collector of Nashik Mr. B. Radhakrishnan congratulated NIMA Team, PSUs and Industries for organizing such a good event in a short period. He said “District administration is committed to provide all necessary facilities for the industrial growth of Nashik. NIMA will play an important role in the industrial development of Nashik through this event. He also thanked Hon’ble MP for his support in the organization of this event.

NIMA Industrial Directory is a compiled, comprehensive data collection of industrial Nashik updated every 3 years.

Its 9th edition is being published now, with a new look giving category wise listing and advertisements. Efforts are made to incorporate major industrial segments to make it a trusted and referred industrial guide to visitors of Nashik.

4. Industrial Trade Fair – NIMA Index

NIMA has organized 10 industrial exhibitions till date with an objective to provide opportunities to industries, trade, service providers and professionals to exhibit their products and services for direct interaction between buyers and sellers.

The Fair provides excellent opportunity to industrial community and the general public of Nashik to expose them with the current technology products and services.

In order to acknowledge and recognize the contributions and achievements of the industries’ workforce in our District, NIMA presents NIMA EXCELLENCE Awards once in 3 years

NIMA takes special efforts to support and guide member industries in export promotion by organizing export awareness programmes in co-ordination with Export Promotion Councils.

It’s a monthly news bulletin being published since its inception to update members about development and updates on Government laws, rules and regulations with respect to industry.

8. NIMA Safety Guide

With an intention to create awareness amongst the industry NIMA has published the Safety Guide. This guide is intended to provide quick, easy and accessible advice to the industrial safety and health compliance related issues.

9. NIMA Directory

NIMA regularly publishes an Industrial directory. NIMA is now publishing a thoroughly revised and updated 11th edition of its very popular and useful INDUSTRIAL DIRECTORY.

The directory will also contain useful information such as historical and geographical information about Nashik district, industrial infrastructure, useful data, maps of various industrial areas, public utility services and many more.
